It started on holiday, walking through the old town market. The air was thick with scent, and every stall had shelves of glass bottles catching the light.

Shopkeepers would come out and dab oils on your wrist as you passed, each one with a story about the ingredients and where their family got them. Half of it was probably a sales pitch, but I was hooked.

I'd never really thought about perfume oils before. I came home with a few bottles and started to notice how different they were. They lasted longer than anything I'd ever sprayed, and they sat closer to the skin. It felt more personal, a scent for the people near you rather than the whole room.

So I started reading everything I could about them, then began mixing my own at home. Concentrated fragrance oil blended into jojoba, in a roller small enough to keep in your pocket. No alcohol, so it stays on your skin instead of fading after an hour.

It took a lot of trial and error before I found the mix I was happy with, enough to smell properly and still be there at the end of the day. Friends started asking for bottles, and in 2026 that turned into Delaume.

Every scent gets a number instead of a name. You decide what it means.
